FOR HER
She told her heart to be quiet because it’s been bothering her lately
Thinking of all she wouldn’t think about mostly
Wrong decisions made and a lot of mistakes too frequently
Hoping on something that would never be, sincerely
So she tried to question why she goes astray eagerly
Doesn’t she see the signs, doesn’t her brain work perfectly?
Why does she put her hand in the fire knowingly?
Why does she walk on hot coal gracefully?
The same story when she puts her heart out there faithfully
It’s smeared, stepped on, kicked, and displaced thoughtlessly
So she’s the one that’s left to be strong so she wouldn’t falter
It’s her life after all and she won’t want her focus to alter
So she wonders, doesn’t anyone want what’s real and genuine this days
Or do people just settle for banality and mediocrity in this age
Don’t they want the deep, undying the energy with all the blaze
Or do they just want what’s on the surface and full of laze
Should she cage herself and who she is because of the world?
Should she change her emotion because in that aspect, people are void?
Should she build walls round her heart, should she roller up like a foil?
Should she lock up and be done, she’s confused, would that bring her joy?
She goes hard, should she change that because people are soft
Should she change the fact that she loves because the world is full of hate
Should she change that she’s straight forward because people are twisted
Should her rich soul leak because people’s souls are poor?
So I write this poem for her, she’s tired of the games
She’s tired of the fakes, the aches, the blames and the endless maze
The false accusations, the hate, she’s tired of the craze
She just wants to pass the phase and walk away with grace
